# Import CSV and Excel Spreadsheet Files into Qvista

> Upload CSV and Excel files into Qvista, automate ingestion, validate data on import, and join file data with live database sources.

Upload spreadsheets and flat files directly into Qvista, or point Qvista at a folder to auto-ingest new files as they arrive.

## Supported file types

* CSV
* Excel (.xlsx, .xls)
* TSV
* JSON

## Upload a file

1. Open **Connectors** → **New Connector** → **File Upload**.
2. Drag and drop your file or click **Browse**.
3. Preview the parsed columns and adjust data types.
4. Save the file as a new **DataTable** or append to an existing one.

## Automate file ingestion

Connect to a cloud folder (Google Drive, Dropbox, S3) to automatically ingest new files as they land. Combine with an Autoflux workflow to validate, transform, and route each file.
